AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

To create a picture for delegates of the system processes from beginning to end. Improve the “Value Added” process through step-by-step review and identification of connections, activities, information, and flow.

At the end of this session delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the need for Value Stream Mapping
  • Produce a current state map
  • Produce a “future state” representation of how a facility should operate
  • Use Value Stream Mapping to transform an organisation into a lean enterprise
  • Prepare for a Value Stream Mapping activity
  • Generate a Current State Map
  • Stabilise the Current State
